School's Out for Summer… and the Campaign Begins!

As we head into summer, my campaign is preparing for street fairs, house parties, and community events! There’s so much going on and so many opportunities to talk with students, parents and guardians, teachers, neighbors, and community leaders about our vision for the Berkeley Public Schools.

I want to take a brief moment to thank all of the current and former elected officials who have expressed their confidence in me by endorsing my campaign for Berkeley School Board:

State Senator Nancy Skinner

Berkeley School Board Directors: Ty Alper, Judy Appel, Josh Daniels, Karen Hemphill, and Beatriz Leyva-Cutler

Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguin

Berkeley City Council Members Linda Maio, Susan Wengraf, and Lori Droste

Berkeley City Auditor Ann-Marie Hogan

Alameda County Supervisor Keith Carson

Alameda County Superintendent of Schools Karen Monroe

Alameda County Board of Education Trustee Ken Berrick

Peralta College Trustees Julina Bonilla, Nicky Gonzalez Yuen, and Karen Weinstein

Former Senator Loni Hancock

Former Assemblywoman Dion Aroner

Former Berkeley Mayor Tom Bates

Former School Board Directors Pamela Doolan, Irene Hegarty, Steve Lustig, Pedro Noguera, Nancy Riddle

Former City Council Members Laurie Capitelli, Carole Kennerly, Darryl Moore, and Gordon Wozniak

"I'm supporting Julie because she has the experience, vision, and commitment our students and District need.  She will be an excellent Board member." Josh Daniels, President, Berkeley School Board

"Julie is committed to supporting teachers with training and resources to connect classroom lessons with real life experiences.  She knows that relevant curriculum combined with college and career planning is the key to ensuring all students are prepared to pursue their dreams. Join me in supporting Julie for Berkeley School Board." Karen Monroe, Alameda County Superintendent of Schools

“I’m thrilled to endorse Julie Sinai for School Board. Julie has the kind of commitment and experience we need on the Board. She has a proven track record of working in partnership with the City, UC Berkeley, Berkeley City College, business, non-profits, parents/guardians, and with policy makers in Sacramento for the benefit of our children and families.” Jesse Arreguin, Berkeley Mayor

Please let my team know if you’d like to host a house party to introduce me to your friends and neighbors. If you haven’t already, please endorse my campaign or make a contribution today (maximum $250 per person).

I look forward to seeing you soon!
